काल की पहचान :
जब कोई क्रिया भूतकाल के किसी (निश्चित) समय पहले अथवा उस समय तक पूरी हो गई थी, ऐसा व्यक्त्त करने के लिए पूर्ण भूतकाल के वाक्य का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
वाक्य की पहचान :
पूर्ण भूतकाल के क्रिया के अंत में आ, ई, ए अक्षर तथा क्रिया के बाद था, थी, थे [ चुका था, चुकी थी, चुके थे ] अर्थात दूसरे रूप में कह सकते हैं कि वाक्य के अंत में या था, आ था, ए थे।
Past Perfect Tense मे Sentence के प्रकार
- Affirmative Sentence – सकारात्मक वाक्य
- Negative Sentence – नकारात्मक वाक्य
- Interrogative Sentence – प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य
- Interrogative Negative Sentence – प्रश्नवाचक नकारात्मक वाक्य
Affirmative Sentence
Affirmative Sentence (सकारात्मक वाक्य) में किसी भी number, person के subject के साथ had been लगाकर क्रिया की पहली अवस्था में ‘ing’ लगाते है।
Structure — (Sub + had been + v1 ing + obj + since/for + time + .)
- मैं स्कूल गया था।I had gone to school.
- तुम कल बाजार गए थे।You had gone to the market yesterday.
- संगीता यहां आई थी।Sangeeta had come here.
- वह आज नाचा था।He had danced today.
- वे पैसे भूल गए थे।They had forgotten the money.
Negative Sentence
Negative Sentence (नकारात्मक वाक्य) में had और been के बीच में not लगा देते है। (had + not + been) और क्रिया की पहली अवस्था के साथ ing लगाते है।
Structure — (Sub + had + not + been + v1 ing + obj + since/for + time + .)
- मैं स्कूल नहीं गया था।I had not gone to school.
- तुम कल बाजार नहीं गए थे।You had not gone to the market yesterday.
- संगीता यहां नहीं आई थी।Sangeeta had not come here.
- वह आज नहीं नाचा था।He had not danced today.
- वे पैसे नहीं भूले थे।They had not forgotten the money.
Interrogative Sentence
Interrogative Sentence प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य में had को subject से पहले लगाते हैं। Had + subject + been और वाक्य के अंत मे प्रश्नचिह्न (?) लगाते है।
Structure —(Had + sub + been + v1 ing + obj + since/for + time + ?)
- क्या मैं स्कूल गया था ?Had I gone to school ?
- क्या तुम कल बाजार गए थे ?Had you gone to the market yesterday ?
- क्या संगीता यहां आई थी ?Had sangeeta come here ?
- क्या वह आज नाचा था ?Had he danced today ?
- क्या वे पैसे भूल गए थे ?Had they forgotten the money ?
Interrogative Negative Sentence
Interrogative Negative Sentence प्रश्नवाचक नकारात्मक वाक्य में कर्ता (sub) के बाद not लगा देते है। और वाक्य के अंत मे प्रश्नचिह्न (?) लगाते है।

- क्या मैं स्कूल नहीं गया था ?Had I not gone to school ?
- क्या तुम कल बाजार नहीं गए थे ?Had you not gone to the market yesterday ?
